Rita Capucho is a PhD student in Artistic Studies, specializing in Film and Image Studies at the University of Coimbra. Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Art Studies from the Faculty of Arts of the University of Coimbra. She is a member of the Organizing Committee of AVANCA | CINEMA – International Cinema Conference – Art, Technology, Communication, directed by Debatevolution – Association and editorial producer of the International Journal of Cinema. She is a member of the Working Group on Artistic Currents and Intellectual Movements of the CEIS20 – Center for Interdisciplinary Studies of the 20th Century of the University of Coimbra and the group Image, Art, Ethics and Society of the Federal University of Pará.
Member of AIM – Association of Motion Picture Researchers.
She was a jury member at several film festivals. Belongs to the organization of the Avanca Film Festival and São Tomé Festfilm.
Member of the Poetic Group of Aveiro, organizes the Poetry Slam Aveiro, as well as other events related to poetry.
She currently works as a producer and programmer at Avanca’s Cineclube, production assistant at 23 Miles and has recently created an artists’ agency.
She is a programmer at Dolce Vita’s Ovar Cinema, at “The Thursdays of Cinema” of the Movie Theater of Estarreja and at “The Films of Our Tuesdays”of Aveiro Theater.

Ana Castro has a Master’s degree in Communication and Multimedia, specialization in Digital Audiovisual, from the University of Aveiro and a degree in Theater and Performative Arts from the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro.
During the years 2015 and 2016, she was responsible for the programming of the “The Thursdays of Cinema” of the Movie Theater of Estarreja and at “The Films of Our Tuesdays”of Aveiro Theater, by the entities Cine-Club of Avanca and Plano Obrigatório respectively.
Was a jury member at some film festivals.
Being a member of the direction of Cine-Club of Avanca, she has played since 2014 several functions in the organization of the AVANCA – International Meetings of Cinema, Television, Video and Multimedia.
She works in the field of Digital Marketing at the company Macieira de Castro, Engenharia Lda. and Douro Cruzinha Valley – Agricultura e Enoturismo, Lda.
Assistant Professor at the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro and researcher at Labcom. PhD in Comparative Literature, directs her scientific research in the context of inter-art studies, namely in the relations between literature and cinema, literature and architecture, and also in the cinematography of Manoel de Oliveira, Fellini and Jacques Tati. She teaches several seminars in the context of the analysis of the filmic speech and the dialogical relations between cinema and other arts. Author of the course “Cinema: Alchemy of the Arts” at the Serralves Foundation (Porto, 2009). It has papers presented in multiple colloquiums and publications in national and international journals. Invited lectures at the universities of Paris III, Paris Ouest Nanterre La Défense, Utrecht, Warsaw and Lublin on the contemporary Portuguese novel (60-90) and Portuguese cinema. Participation in juries and workshops at festivals and film school shows (Avanca, MIFEC, Ourense Film Festival, Festfilm-Montpellier, Cinanima, São Tomé Fest Film, Arroios Film Festival) and national ICA juries (2014 and 2016).
Director of RIOS – International Documentary and Transmedia Film Festival. She belongs to the editorial board of the journals: International Journal of Cinema, Estrema, Plural / Pluriel, Persona and Cygne Noir, revue d’exploration sémiotique (Université du Québec à Montréal)

Sónia Catita Baldaque
Post-graduate in Contemporary Art, by the School of Arts of Porto (ESAP). Degree in Visual Arts – Photography, in the same Institution.
She has been a research intern since 2016 in the research group of Art and Critical Studies at CEAA (Arnaldo Araújo Studies Center: www.ceaa.pt).
She is also, since January 2016, evaluator of the company A3ES, Agency for Assessment and Accreditation of Higher Education.
She participated in several collective exhibitions, highlighting, in 2015, the individual installation “site specific”, in the Hospital Center of Conde Ferreira and the participation with an installation at ARTSevilla 2016. Her’s main interests are Contemporary Art, Art and Power and Body Art and Gender Studies.
Image and Design
Mariana Baldaia has a degree in Communication Design from the Superior School of Arts and Design, in Matosinhos and a postgraduate degree in Illustration from the Porto Superior Art School, in Guimarães pole.
She has been working as a freelancer since 2009, specializing in the area of Poster Design. She is responsible for the image of the Festival Mûsîqât and Jazz à Cartháge in Tunisia since 2014, for the Antenna Documentary Film Festival, Australia, since 2015, for the Epos – International Festival of Art and Cinema, Israel, among others.
Graduated in New Technologies of Communication by the University of Aveiro in Portugal, he is director of the São Tomé and Príncipe International Film Festival. He has participated in the organization of the AVANCA Film Festival and in various cinematographic events. He is finishing the realization of his first film, the documentary “Far dream in Ecuador”. He works as a show technician at the Cine-Teatro de Estarreja.
